New life north of the river Han

Hey guys. It’s been a while since my last blog post. I’ve been busy with a growing baby and i recently moved my fam to DBICD. That’s Dong Bu Ichon Dong for you layfolks. This is the neighborhood that i wanted be in. I think it’s a great place to raise a little kid. I also love the tiny Japanese style restaurants here. So much variety and so close to Itaewon!

I’ve also been busy setting up a new business with my wife. Hard to blog about food with so many things going on. And most of you non bloggers might not realize this, but blogging is super time consuming. It’s hard to keep posting. I have a lot of pictures on my iphone of new Korean Restaurants i visited but it’s hard to sort through it and get the post up. Especially with the new move. New school for the baby. New everything.

If this blog had a lot of readers, i might be forced into writing more. But with almost zero comments and my traffic at an all time low, im lacking motivating.

But, i’m a true blogger. I’ll start posting up some deliciousness soon. Thanks for reading my blog at hungryseoul.com.

Also, i was thinking about writing about non food, non restaurant related topics. Living in Korea in 2012 is no joke. A lot of things going on. Entertainment, politics, social causes, etc. I’ll spit out some opinion posts or rants about these things aswell.

  1. Sounds like you have plenty going on at the moment! Now you’re north of the river, feel free to pop into my new British Fish & Chips restaurant in Sinchon for some much needed comfort food. 🙂

  2. Yo… I find this blog more a diatribe and diary of your thoughts more than food or restaurant reviews. I find many of your posts to be meandering off point. You always say how busy you are and how you will get to more reviews… but you never do.
Stop misleading people to your blog based on the assumption we will get Korean food reviews. Cuz we won’t.

  3. Hi, just picked up on your blog from a recommendation in the Lonely Planet guide to Seoul which ws published this month, so I have a feeling you may get more traffic soon. Have no idea if the aptly named Mr/Ms Blunt’s comments are valid but I have enjoyed what I have seen of your blog so far – it offers a window into the world of food in Seoul which until now was a complete mystery to me. I am relocating to Seoul next year so will be sure to check in regularly – I hope you find the time to keep going. And although I am very much looking forward to sampling the delights of Korean cuisine I will certainly be hitting Sam’s Fish n Chip place for a taste of Home – hope you have pickled onions Sam…

  4. Hi! Got across your website while looking for good places to eat at Seoul. We’ll go there in a week.

Anyway, yes blogging is super time-consuming! Especially since we wouldn’t want to write just to say we blogged about something. Please don’t be unmotivated. It’s really hard to get readers nowadays since the blogging market is pretty much diluted and there’s a lot of competition for blogs. Don’t worry, I’m sure you have readers that will be loyal to you as long as you continue to post awesome entries. 😀
